Office Flatpack Furniture Assembly
Welcome to our FAQ page where we hope to answer most of the common questions we get asked.
Do you assemble all types of flat pack furniture?
We assemble all varieties of flat pack furniture from all retailers. This includes garden furniture and accessories, children's outdoor play equipment, outdoor storage units and sheds. Basically any furniture or equipment that requires assembly, we can provide our services.
Which areas do you cover?
We currently serve South Cumbria, The Lake District, Morcambe, Lancaster and surrounding areas. If you are located more than 20 miles by-road from LA14, there may be a small extra charge to cover travel costs, but please contact us and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
How does your service work?
Once you know which items you would like us to assemble, request a quotation providing as much detail as possible. We will come back to you with a price and agree a time slot suitable for you. The agreed price will be payable on the day of installation.
How much do your sevices cost?
All quotations are bespoke and based on the items that you would like us to assemble. We have provided generic prices on our website to give you an idea of possible cost.
The price in your quotation will be the final price you pay.
What hours are you available?
In general we operate our services from 8am to 7pm Monday to Saturday, however, we are very flexible.
Upon request we can work Sundays and evenings if you have tight deadlines, this is not uncommon for office and commercial assembly requests.
How soon can you assemble my flat pack?
Usually we require at least 24-hours notice, but if you need items assembling urgently just contact us and we will get back to you ASAP.
Do you bring any equipment or tools with you?
We always carry the essential tools and equipment necessary to assemble your items correctly. So you don't need to worry about providing these.
Do we need to do anything before you arrive?
Check your product delivery Invoice to confirm that everything has been delivered and is in good condition.
Check any damage to packaging as this might indicate items inside may be damaged or missing.
To prepare for us to assemble your products, they should be as close to their final position as possible. Ideally placed either in the same room or on the same floor level they will be assembled. If this is a problem, please inform us at the earliest stage, since this could add extra time to the assembly and may cost slightly more.
How much space will you need?
This depends on the size of the items being assembled. A good guide is enough space for the item to be laid in its packaging on its back, plus a few feet around it to work in.
How long will it take to build my items?
This depends on the size and complexity of the items. For example a small table will take less time than a complex wardrobe, trampoline or shed.
What if there are parts missing?
We will carry some generic spares that will hopefully do the trick. In the unlikely event that we cannot complete the job on the day, we will do all we can to return as soon as possible when you have the missing parts.
Do you remove packaging and waste?
Sorry no.
We don't hold any responsibility for leftover packing materials from the flat pack assembly process. However, we will be happy to break it up into smaller sizes for you and leave it neatly within the bounderies of your property.
If you are a landlord with an HMO property or a business customer with a large order we can work with you to arrange refuse disposal separately.
Do you do remedial work on assemblys' carried out by others?
Yes. Furness Flatpack are sometimes called in by customers to fix issues when things have been assembled incorrectly by other people.
Do you offer any other services?
Yes, we also can mount your TV to the wall, hang mirrors and several other “handyman” jobs. Just get in touch and we can discuss your requirements.
What if I need to cancel?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your booking. If you do not notify us within 24 hours of your appointment time, you will be charged our minimum fee of £40.
